What is a verb in Lithuanian?
A verb (veiksmažodis) is a part of speech denoting action or state. Lithuanian verbs are divided into transitive and intransitive, and many have a reflexive suffix -si (-s). There are two aspects: imperfective (eigos veikslas) and perfective (įvykio veikslas). Verbs have conjugated (indicative, conditional, imperative) and non-conjugated (participles, gerunds) forms.
