Lithuanian for Regitra: 180 Words to Pass the Driving Exam on the First Try

You've arrived for your practical exam at Regitra. You get in the car. The examiner turns and asks: "Parodykite, kur yra vairo užraktas" (Show me where the steering wheel lock is). Pause. You know how to drive — but you don't know what vairo užraktas means. And that's a critical mistake before the car has even moved.

The good news: the full up-to-date vocabulary is already collected in the themed set «Regitra — driving exam» in the Fluent app — you can learn the words with spaced repetition instead of memorizing from scratch.

This article is a complete Lithuanian vocabulary glossary for the Regitra practical exam (category B), compiled from 12+ YouTube videos of real exams (the Mantas and Karmena routes), official materials from regitra.lt, a breakdown of critical mistakes from kelias.net, and the canonical "20 questions before Regitra" list from rigveda.lt.

At the end of the article you'll find ready-made Fluent flashcards for each topic, so you can learn these 180 words in a week.

Why the Regitra exam is a language exam

The Regitra practical exam takes up to 90 minutes and has three parts, where language matters as much as your driving skill:

  1. 3 out of 20 pre-drive questions. The examiner points at the dashboard and asks you to name or activate a component: the handbrake, the windshield washer, the hazard lights. Don't understand — critical mistake.
  2. Commands on the route. About 30 short instructions in the 2nd person plural imperative: sukite, važiuokite, sustokite, persirikiuokite (turn, drive, stop, change lanes). Get confused — miss the turn.
  3. Independent driving task (10–15 min). You drive "by navigation" while the examiner stays silent. You need to understand road signs and audio prompts.

To pass, you're allowed at most 8 non-critical mistakes — and zero critical ones. A language misunderstanding of a command can easily turn into one.

How to use this glossary

The glossary is split into 8 topic blocks. Under each block is a link to a ready-made flashcard set in Fluent, where you can review the same words with spaced repetition:

  • 🟢 Bare minimum — blocks 1, 6, 8 (≈60 words). You shouldn't take the exam without these.
  • 🟡 Extended — blocks 2, 3, 4 (≈80 words). The actual "20 questions."
  • 🔵 Full set — all 8 blocks (180 words). Guarantees you'll understand everything the examiner says.

💡 Tip: learn the commands (block 6) and critical mistakes (block 8) first. That gives you the most payoff for the least time.
